The specimen shown is an example of a type struck in Spain as part of series of silver ten euro commemorating various events in Spanish history. This specimen was lot 1354 in Aureo y Calicó sale 246 (Barcelona, September 2012), where it sold for 60 € (about US$91 including buyer's fees). The catalog[1] noted,
"2008. Juan Carlos I. 10 euros. Alfonso X el Sabio. En estuche oficial con certificado. (Spain, Juan Carlos I, ten euro of 2008 for Alfonso the Wise. Proof in original box with certificate.)"
Recorded mintage: unknown but all proofs.
Specification: 27 g, 0.925 fine silver, 40 mm diameter.
