This type was struck 1828, 1830 and 1833 in Haiti during the rule of Jean Pierre Boyer (1776-1850), president of Haiti 1822-43. Like many Haitian coins of the period, it bears no Common Era date but only the revolutionary year "AN 30", counting from 1803, the year of independence from France. Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, unknown fineness but probably debased. Weight is variable; this specimen weighs 10.9 g.
