This specimen was part of lot 24782 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "Dutch Guiana 4 Duit 1679, KM8, VF25 BN NGC, nicely toned, a very scarce uniface issue featuring a solitary parrot sitting on a tree branch with the denomination 4 above. Definitely a minimalist design!" This scarce issue is accompanied by copper one and two duits. Not all issues were uniface.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper.

Catalog reference: KM 7.
