This specimen was lot 71137 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $1,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Guinea, 1734. London Mint. George II. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, EF Details. Despite the tooling, this example provides good details and remains a presentable example of a George II Guinea." This type was struck for Georg II 1734-38. It is not rare but is expensive.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 8.35 g, 0.917 fine gold.

Catalog reference: S-3674; Fr-339; KM 573.3.
