This specimen was lot 23401 in Heritage sale 3024 (Chicago, April 2013), where it sold for $1,645. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V 5 Cents 1923, MS65 PCGS, very bright and attractive, one tiny spot in the left obverse field. Elusive date in this superior quality. From The Nikita Collection." This type, struck 1922-36, is common in grades up thru About Uncirculated, tho the years 1925-26 are scarce.

Recorded mintage: 2,502,279.

Specification: 4.6 g, nickel, 21.2 mm diameter, reeded edge.
