This specimen was lot 534 in Jean Elsen sale 137 (Brussels, June 2018), where it sold for €135 (about US$188 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"VLAANDEREN, Graafschap, Philips II (1555-1598), AR Philipsdaalder, 1562, Brugge. Vz/ Geharnast bb. r. Kz/ Gekroond wapenschild op een Bourgondisch kruis tussen twee vuurijzers. Krasjes. Fraai à Zeer Fraai. (county of Flanders, Philip II, 1555-98, silver daalder of 1562, Bruges mint. Obverse: armored bust right; reverse: crowned arms over a Burgundian cross between two jewels of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Scratches, fine to very fine.)"
Flanders, along with several other Dutch provinces, issued daalders during the sixteenth century. This issue bears Philip II's name but unlike Dav-8645, deletes "ANG·Z·" from his titles. It was struck 1562-63, 1572-76.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver, this specimen 33,43 g.
