This specimen was lot 71420 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $5,040. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 20 Zlotych (3 Rubles), 1835-CNB NA. St. Petersburg Mint. NGC MS-62. Issue from Nicholas I. Very well struck with flashy surfaces. Brilliant and highly attractive." This issue was struck 1834-39 while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Twenty zlotych equaled three rubles. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841. The initials ПД are for mintmaster Paul Danilov.
