The specimen shown is an example of a type struck for Estonia 1991-95. Estonia, long occupied by Czarist Russia, obtained its independence in the aftermath of World War One. Reoccupied by the Russians in 1940, she was subject to Soviet rule until 1991, when the collapse of the Communists allowed the Estonians to once again reclaim independence.

Recorded mintage: 38,790,000 for 1991-92.

Specification: 1.29 g, aluminum bronze, 15.9 mm diameter.
