This specimen was lot 22677 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2020), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Third Reich. 10 Reichspfennig, 1936-E. NGC MS-65+. A fresh and fully lustrous example of this key date with light brassy color." This type of 1936-39 was also minted at Vienna ("B"), Munich ("D"), Berlin ("A"), Stuttgart ("F"), Karlsrule ("G") and Hamburg ("J"). It was superseded by a wartime issue in zinc.
Recorded mintage: 245,000.
Specification: 4 g, aluminum bronze, 21 mm diameter.
