This specimen is a middle date of a series of bronze two centavos issued in Peru 1917-49. This date was minted in Philadelphia. Numerous varieties exist, depending on the spacing and size of the legends. In 1950, the coin was changed to zinc.

Recorded mintage: 328,000.

Specification: bronze, plain edge, 24.5 mm diameter.
