This specimen was part of lot 22620 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), which sold for $431.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Mixed Lot of Thirteen Coins. This type was struck 1873-87 in Germany at nine mints; this specimen is a product of the Berlin mint ("A"). In 1891, a modified eagle was introduced and this denomination was struck in that form until 1918 (see KM 14).
Recorded mintage: 929,547 (a better date).
Specification: 5.55 g, 0.900 fine silver, 24 mm diameter, .160 troy oz ASW.
