This specimen was lot 3300 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 1,400 CHF (about US$1,885 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"USA, 10 Dollars 1901, Philadelphia. Liberty head type. PCGS MS64. Magnificent condition."
This specimen is one of a type struck at the Philadelphia mint 1839-1907. Issues are also recorded from San Francisco (1854-89, 1892-1907), New Orleans (1841-60, 1879-1906), Carson City (1870-84, 1890-93) and Denver (1906-07). In 1866, the motto "In God We Trust" was added to the reverse. The 1901 is common.
