Sincona sale 87, lot 3112

This specimen was lot 3112 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 2,200 CHF (about US$2,963 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEDEN, Karl XIII. 1809-1818. Dukat 1813, Stockholm. Mit der Signatur OL (Olof Lidijn, Münzmeister in Stockholm, 1773-1819). PCGS AU58. (kingdom of Sweden, Charles XIII, 1809-18, ducat of 1813, Stockholm mint, mintmaster's initials OL. Choice about uncirculated.)"

This type was struck in small numbers 1810-14.

Recorded mintage: 26,000.

Specification: 3.49 g, .979 fine gold, .109 troy oz AGW.
