Altho Denmark was neutral in World War One, it was subject to the same higher prices for raw materials. The ten øre, which had formerly been billon, was converted to copper-nickel in 1920 and struck in that alloy until the 1980's. In 1924, the coin was enlarged and a central hole added. The 1919, tho a one year type, is probably the most common date of the whole series prior to the 1950's.
Recorded mintage: 10,184,000.
Specification: 1.45 g, 0.400 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM 818.2.
