This specimen was lot 2814 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: AV 25 kurush, 2000, Monnaie de Luxe, incorrectly labeled as 50 kurush on the slab, NGC graded MS64." This monnaie de luxe was struck 1942-2021 for use in jewelry. It is wider and thinner than the twenty-five kurush struck for bullion. It is not known circulated.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not rare.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.917 fine gold.
