This specimen was lot 34242 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $340.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Haldenstein. City 2/3 Taler 1691 AU50 PCGS. Struck from roller dies with nearly full details that were only softened a touch by light circulation and excellent luster in the recesses. Light golden patina on both sides aids the appearance of originality. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." Two different gulden (= 2/3 thaler) were issued 1690-92; this one and one (KM-70) with the reverse arms in a cartouche. This one is scarce and KM-70 is rare.
