This specimen was lot 776 in Jean Elsen sale 149 (Brussels, December 2021), where it sold for €280 (about US$379 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRABANT, Duché, Albert et Isabelle (1598-1621), AR triple réal, 1608, Anvers. D/ B. accolés des archiducs à g. R/ Ecu parti d'Autriche-Bourgogne, couronné, sur une croix de Bourgogne, orné du bijou de la Toison d'or. presque Très Beau. Provient de notre vente 106, 11 septembre 2010, 528. A partir de 1603, les monnaies d'argent furent frappées dans le système du réal, valant un quart de florin. Des triples réaux, réaux, demis et quarts de réaux furent émis jusqu'en 1611, avant une nouvelle réforme monétaire. (duchy of Brabant, Albert and Isabelle, 1598-1621, silver triple real of 1608, Antwerp mint. Obverse: accolated busts of the archduke and archduchess to left; reverse: crowned arms of Austria-Burgundy over a Burgundian cross, decorated with the jewels of the Golden Fleece. about Very Fine. From 1603, silver coins were minted in the real system, worth a quarter of a florin. Triple reals, one reals, half and quarter reals were issued until 1611, before a new monetary reform.)"
This rare type is listed for Antwerp for 1605-10. The denomination was also struck in Flanders 1607-08 (KM 8) and Tournai 1605-10 (KM 10).
