The specimen shown is one of a type struck in Honduras 1881-91, after which the denomination was abandoned. Several dates (1881 and 1891) are extremely rare. Most show evidence of the primitive conditions in which they were made.

Recorded mintage: 97,000 (most common date).

Specification: bronze.
