Stack's Bowers 2015 NYINC sale, lot 1667
Sweden Stacks Jan15-1667r.jpg

This specimen was lot 1667 in Stacks-Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 1/2 Daler Plate Money, 1718. Karl XII (1697-1718). 3.75 x 4 in. RARE one year type for Karl XII (Tingstrom: 46 examples known including 4 pieces from the Nicobar). All stamps well applied with four full legible dates. Despite a bit of unevenness in the corner stamps, the center triangular stamp is quite bold and attractive. A few scattered contact marks, but overall a very attractive piece with nice chocolate patina. VERY FINE."

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: copper.

Catalog reference: KM-PM33; AAH-197; BT-D1.
