This specimen was lot 2564 in Goldberg sale 117 (Los Angeles, September 2020), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Farthing, 1869. Victoria. A proof/specimen example with lovely mirror surfaces. Mint state and rare. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown." The bronze farthing was struck in moderate numbers 1860-69 and 1872-73 with a toothed border and 1874-95 with minor changes to Britannia.
Recorded mintage: 3,226,000.
Specification: 2.86 g, bronze, 20 mm diameter.
