This specimen was lot 31110 in Heritage auction 3096 (Dallas, TX, March 2021), where it sold for $2,220. The catalog description[1] noted, "Isle of Man: British Dependency. Elizabeth II gold Proof "Christmas" 50 Pence 1996-PM PR70 Ultra Cameo NGC, Pobjoy mint. Estimated mintage: 250. Flawless in every regard, this commemorative Christmas issue displays deeply mirrored fields and satiny frosted devices. This is the sole finest at NGC and PCGS. From the Paramount Collection."
Recorded mintage: est. 30,000 in copper-nickel; est. 5,000 in silver and est. 250 in gold.
