This specimen was lot 71592 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "ISLE OF MAN. 1/4 Crown, 1996. Pobjoy Mint. Elizabeth II. NGC PROOF-66 Ultra Cameo. This Bimetallic gold and platinum example offers charmingly mirrored fields and frosted devices that present an exceptional cameo nature. A stunning piece." This is one of series of NCLT's celebrating the king Arthur legend (KM 669, 670, 671, 672, 673). They were struck in bimetallic and straight platinum formats.
