After being temporarily unified under Napoleon's Helvetic Republic, the cantons went their separate ways after the Congress of Vienna and issued a torrent of low value coins. This type, listed in the SCWC as a five rappen, was struck 1829 and 1831 and is common. Five rappen = half batzen = 1/80 thaler.
