The Netherlands Antilles comprise the islands of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao off the coast of Venezuela and St. Eustatius and St. Maarten in the Leeward Islands. Coinage was issued for Curaçao during World War Two, while the island was occupied by American troops, but nothing was issued for the island group as a whole until 1952. This type was struck 1954-66 and 1970 and this date is common.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000 (fish privy mark) plus 200,000 (fish and star privy mark, struck in 1969).

Specification: 1.4 g, 0.640 fine silver, reeded edge, 15 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 3.
