Sincona sale 11, lot 19322

This specimen was lot 1932 in Sincona sale 11 (Zurich, May 2013), where it sold for 320 CHF (about US$396 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Venedig Marcantonio Giustinian, 1684-1688. Zecchino o. J. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (republic of Venice, doge Marcantonio Giustinian, 1684-1688, zecchino without date, very fine to extremely fine.)"

As a rule, Venetian coins were not dated and can only be identified as to ruler. This type is somewhat scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown.
