This specimen was lot 22303 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[2] noted, "FRANCE. 5 Franc, 1810-A. NGC MS-62. Pleasing old cabinet toning." This is a common date of a common type struck 1809-14.

Recorded mintage: 8,794,496[1].

Specification: 25 g, .900 fine silver, 37 mm diameter, edge lettered DIEU PROTEGE LA FRANCE, designed by Pierre Joseph Tiolier.
