This specimen was lot 1346 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $333.20. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Muzaffar al-Din Shah, 1896-1907, AV 5000 dinars, AH1324, MS62." This type was struck AH 1318-1324. There is also KM 981 (5000 dinars in silver).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.44 g, 0.900 fine gold.
