Sincona sale 99, lot 429

This specimen was lot 429 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$75 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Nicholas II. 1894-1917, 1 Penni 1905, Helsinki Mint. Mintage for Finland. NGC MS64 RD. Rotkupfer, Red copper."

This is a common date of a type struck 1895, 1898-1916 for Nicholas II. The prior type varied only in the imperial monogram.

Recorded mintage: 1,390,000.

Specification: 1.26 g, copper, 15 mm diameter.
