Sincona sale 99, lot 366

This specimen was lot 366 in Sincona Auction 99 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 60 CHF (about US$91 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSLAND Kaiserreich und Föderation, Alexander III. 1881-1894, 1 Penni 1893, Helsinki Mint. Mintage for Finland. NGC MS64 RB."

This is a common date of a type struck 1881-84, 1888, 1891-94 for Alexander III. The prior and succeeding types varied only in the imperial monogram.

Recorded mintage: 2,290,000.

Specification: 1.26 g, copper, 15 mm diameter.
