This specimen was lot 157 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$539 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 20 Kopecks 1788, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB. 2 roubles according to Petrov. About extremely fine. Small collector's hallmark on reverse."
This type was issued from St. Petersburg (shown here) and Moscow 1764-96, after which the denomination was suspended for many years. This subtype was struck 1783-93.
Recorded mintage: 2,376,000.
Specification: 4.77 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 4.43 g.
