The first specimen was lot 1718 in Jean Elsen sale 117 (Brussels, June 2013), where it sold for €140 (about US$221 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SAINT EMPIRE, Léopold Ier (1657-1705), AR Taler, 1701, Hall. Droit: B. l. et cuirassé à droite. Revers: Ecu couronné, entouré du collier de la Toison d'or. Léger défaut sur la tranche. Très Beau. (Austria, Leopold I (1657-1705), silver thaler of 1701, Hall mint. Obverse: laureate, armored bust to right; reverse: crowned arms, Order of the Golden Fleece around. Minor rim defects, very fine.)"
The second specimen was lot 1804 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 450 CHF (about US$593 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. Taler 1701, Hall. Vorzüglich. Kleine Schrötlingsfehler am Rand. Feine Patina. (Austria, Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1701, Hall mint. Extremely fine, Small flan flaws on edge, Nicely toned.)"
This type is listed in the SCWC for 1694-1704 and is reasonably available. The dates prior to 1701 are known as Dav-3245.
