This specimen was lot 1045 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 8,000 CHF (about US$10,571 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Konstanz, Bistum, Franz Conrad von Rodt, 1750-1775. Dukat 1761, Augsburg. Stempel von J. Thiébaud. Selten, besonders in dieser Erhaltung. NGC MS62. Prachtexemplar. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 43, Dortmund, September 2007, Los 893. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar. (Germany, bishopric of Constance, Francis Conrad of Rodt, 1750-75, ducat of 1761, Augsburg mint. Rare, especially in this condition, Cabinet piece, Finest certified by NGC.)"
Altho the bishop's diocese covered most of Swabia, Alemania and a good chunk of Switzerland, his secular domain was a few scattered territories around the west end of Lake Constance. It did not include the town of Constance, which issued its own coins. The bishop also issued a thaler, half thaler and quarter thaler in 1761.
