Peru 1936 centavo rev DSLR.jpg

This specimen is a later date of a series of bronze centavos issue in Peru 1901-49. Numerous varieties exist, depending on the spacing and size of the legends. This "straight centavo" is valued the same as the "curved centavo" type (KM 208.2) also recorded for 1936. In 1950, the coin was changed to zinc.

Recorded mintage: 565,000 (including KM 208.2).

Specification: 5 g, bronze, 19 mm diameter, plain edge.

Catalog reference: KM 211.
