This specimen was lot 32953 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "William & Mary 1/2 Crown 1693 AU50 NGC, Collectible type with medium gray toning. From the Lake County Collection." This type was struck 1691-93 with the conjoined busts of William and Mary. No half crowns were struck 1694-95 and later issues bore the king's portrait alone, Mary having died. A 1693/inverted 3 overdate exists.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 15.05 g, 0.925 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM 477, S-3436.
