This specimen was lot 29588 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "William & Mary 6 Pence 1693 MS63 NGC, Royal mint. An exceptional example of this seldom-found-choice type with rich olive-brown cabinet toning throughout and an impeccable strike that boldly renders all of the intended detail. A small, nearly invisible mark in front of the conjoin[ed] busts prevents full Gem certification." This type is noted for 1693-94 and is the only sixpence to feature both monarchs.
