This specimen was lot 6070 in Sincona sale 81 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$3,596 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND | Bern | Stadt und Kanton, Dukat 1725, Bern. Extremely rare. Extremely fine-uncirculated. Scratches on reverse." The climbing bear is the badge of Bern, Switzerland. This type, like all Bernese gold coins of the eighteenth century, is rare and expensive.
