The specimen shown was lot 196 in Aureo y Calicó sale 242 (Barcelona, March 2012), where it sold for 4,000 € (about US$6,210 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Fernando VI (1746-1759). 1751/0. México. MF. 8 escudos. Segundo busto. Golpecitos. Parte de brillo original. Precioso color. Rara y más así. EBC-/EBC. (Ferdinand VI, 1746-59, eight escudos of 1751, Mexico City mint, second bust. Some nicks, partial luster, nice color, rare, extremely fine.)"
