Sincona sale 70, lot 3507

This specimen was lot 3507 in Sincona sale 70 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$796 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Schwyz. Gulden 1797, Schwyz. Mzz. S rechts oberhalb Leiste. Gutes sehr schön. Kleines Zainende. (Switzerland, canton of Schwyz, gulden of 1797, with initial "S" to the right of the shield. Good very fine, Minor edge clip.)"

Altho the SCWC states that three gulden = one thaler, the weight of this example is closer to 4/11 of a thaler. This type was accompanied by a half gulden (KM 52).
