from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice Online Auction, lot 76500
SB225-76500r.jpg

This specimen was lot 76500 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 10 Cents, 1914. Philadelphia Mint. PCGS MS-64." We don't know how this lot ended up in a world coin sale but perhaps the consignor wanted it there. This Barber dime is a common date along with the 1914-D and 1914-S.

Recorded mintage: 17,360,230 plus 425 proofs.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.900 fine silver, 17.9 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Charles Barber.

Catalog reference: KM-113.
