This specimen is from a type struck at the Paris mint for France 1962-2001 and shares a design with the five and twenty centimes. All were demonetized with the coming of the euro in 2002.
Recorded mintage: 179,981,000[2] + 8,000 proofs.
Specification: aluminum bronze, 20 mm diameter, 3 g, plain edge, designed by Henri Lagriffoul (1907-81) and Adrien Dieudonné (1912-82).
