This specimen is one a type issued since the reform of the peso in 1992 (one new peso = 100 old pesos). The design was modified slightly in 1996 to drop the "N" in front of the "$" but is otherwise unchanged.

Specification: 3.95 g, Stainless steel ring with aluminum-bronze center, 21 mm diameter.
