This specimen was lot 70 in Sincona sale 75 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 13,000 CHF (about US$15,780 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Grossbritannien | Königreich. Elizabeth I. 1558-1603. Angel n. d. (1558-1561), Tower Mint. First issue. Mintmark lis. Wire line inner circles. Selten. NGC MS62. Überdurchschnittlich gut ausgeprägt. Kleiner Schrötlingsfehler am Rand. (kingdom of Great Britain, Elizabeth I, 1558-1603, undated angel, Tower mint, lily mintmark. Rare, Extraordinarily well struck, uncirculated, Tiny edge crack on edge.)"
The angel was traditionally one third of a pound or six shillings and eight pence, altho it was raised to ten shillings by king James I. This was the first angel of Elizabeth's reign.
