This specimen was lot 1447 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $72. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Two Pence, 1721. George I. Nearly mint state with lovely original toning and luster. Choice Almost Uncirculated to Uncirculated." Silver tuppence of George I were struck for circulation and Maundy sets 1717, 1721, 1723, 1726-27 and are cheaper in high grade than the coppers. This denomination is still struck for the Maundy sets.
