Künker sale 352, lot 1484

This specimen was lot 1484 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €180 (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TÜRKEI, Mohammed V. 1909-1918. 25 Piaster 1913 (= 1327 AH, Regierungsjahr 6), Konstantinopel. Rashâd neben der Tughra. GOLD. Vorzüglich. (Turkey, Ottoman empire, Mohammed V, 1909-18, twenty-five piastres of 1913, Constantinople mint. Extremely fine.)"

This type was struck in moderate numbers for years 1 thru 6. Most bear signs of use in jewelry. This was the second smallest gold denomination.
