SB825-42307r.jpg

This specimen was lot 42307 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Oklahoma City, OK, August 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Prussia. 3 Mark, 1911-A. Berlin Mint. Wilhelm II. PCGS PROOF-63 Deep Cameo. A SCARCER proof offering, this Choice specimen remains largely argent and untoned, with some hints of champagne at the peripheries, all while a great cameo nature is evident across both sides. No three mark were minted to replace them until 1908, thirty five years after the reform.

Recorded mintage: 3,241,710 plus a few proofs.

Specifications: 16.67 g, 0.900 fine silver, lettered edge, 33 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM-527; J-103.
