This specimen was lot 153 in Aureo sale 269 (Barcelona, July 2015), where it sold for €85 (about US$110 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1610. Felipe III. Messina. DC. 4 taris. MBC-/MBC (Sicily, Philip III, four tari of 1610, Messina mint, about very fine.)"
The portrait is of Philip III of Spain. The Spanish Hapsburgs ruled Naples and Sicily as part of their Aragonese inheritance from the death of Ferdinand the Catholic in 1517 until the death of Charles II in 1700. Four tari equaled one third of a piastra. This type is listed for 1609-20.
