This specimen was lot 23172 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (Newport Beach, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Sovereign, 1902-P. Perth Mint. PCGS MS-62+ Gold Shield. A well struck Sovereign with frosty luster. From the Collection of Richard Jewell." This date, from a type struck 1902-10 at Perth (shown here), Melbourne and Sydney, is common.
