This specimen was lot 34 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$498 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"George V. 1910-1936. Sovereign 1914 P, Perth. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Australia, George V, 1910-36, sovereign of 1914, Perth mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"
This type, struck 1911-31 at Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, is identical to the ordinary British sovereign in every respect except for the mintmark. The Perth mint is still in operation, striking collector coins.
Recorded mintage: 4,815,000.
Specification: 7.99 g, 0.917 fine gold, reeded edge, this specimen 7.98 g.
