The first specimen was lot 1209 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 1,200 CHF (about US$1,616 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 1/2 Toman 1328 AH (1910 AD), Tehran Mint. Lion & Sun type. NGC MS66. Cabinet piece. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 221. Bought from Spink & Son, London, 2008. Finest certified by NGC."
