This specimen was lot 5651 in Sincona sale 4 (Zürich, October 2011), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$239 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Zug Dicken 1612. Der heilige Oswald mit Krone und Nimbus nach rechts. Rv. Nimbierter Doppeladler. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, dicken of 1612. Obverse: St. Oswald, crowned and nimbate, faces right; reverse: nimbate double headed eagle. Good very fine.)"
A dicken was twenty-four kreuzer or two-fifths gulden. This type is noted in the SCWC for 1609-22 and is listed as fairly common. The figure on the obverse is St Oswald, a British king who converted the Northumbrians. The reverse motto, "CVM·HIS·QVI·OD[ERT]·PACE[M]·ERAM·PACI[FICVS]", translates to, "I remained peaceful to those who hated the peace."
